Who are you and what did you do?
I am Zak James and I do dope shit. I make music about what I feel, how I feel, and what I see. We out here. I also am a consultant and do a lot of marketing work with people who create social media and visual content.
What does your typical day look like?
My typical day is super busy. I work a day job to be able to support myself and funnel more money into my passions, and the rest of my day is put into the gym to keep my mind right and then working on my craft and business.
How is your workspace setup?
My work space is not really set up at all. I set up a work space where ever I’m at. I keep everything I need all packed up in bags and I will set up anywhere. In a coffee shop, at a restaurant, at a friend’s house, in an alley, on a stoop on a side street. Wherever I can find inspiration I’ll set up and get my work done. But my main work place is any time I can perform and can burn it down.
What hardware do you use to make your content?
I use my computer and my phone mostly, but also an audio interface, midi keyboard, and microphone.
The software that my engineer and I use for producing and recording is Logic Pro X and Ableton Live.
Where can people find you online?
People can find my music and content on Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, Apple Music, anywhere you can stream music and all social media platforms.
