Who are you and what did you do?
My name is Anton Gorlin and I am a landscape and a real estate photographer based in Sydney, Australia. I love nature and all of its manifestations. It started off as a hobby and evolved over time to the part-time business. These days I conduct photography workshops both online and offline with many international students. As a real estate photographer in Sydney, I work with multiple brands, real estate agents, builders, architects, and individual clients.
How is your workspace set up?
I assume this means my physical workspace? I have a small table for my laptop. I typically hide the editing tablet into the drawer. This is it regarding my home-office workspace. Other than that, my workspace is mobile as I visit clients’ properties.
What does your typical day look like?
My main job is still a software developer. So, I wake up at 4-55 am and drive to work. I start at 5.30 am, work till 2.30 pm and then I have the rest of the day for my photography business. I often immediately travel to clients. During winter, I have time for 1 property till sunset. During summer, I can photograph several. With this schedule, I typically shoot sunrises on weekends.
What hardware do you use to make your content?
I use Adobe Bridge and Photoshop CC. Since Adobe increased pricing, I’ve started looking around at Luminar and other alternatives. Haven’t decided to switch yet though.
