Who are you and what did you do?
My name is Sónia and I’m a Portuguese photographer! I live near Lisbon, Portugal. Right now, photography is my wonderful hobby because I’m a food Engineer and a wellness Coach.
I photograph everything that strikes my fancy. I love travelling and capturing everything I can, especially moments and memories.
Besides travel photography, I love taking photos at festivals and concerts. I also do studio photography or outdoor sessions. Right now, as a fashion photographer, I am making model polaroids for a reputable Portuguese modeling agency.
What does your typical day look like?
My days are always different. Things vary according to the appointments I have on my calendar…
How is your workspace setup?
I have my office in a rented place and a makeshift home office. I like to have the office organized to help with workflow.
What hardware do you use to make your content?
I use my Macintosh for my work. I have a Nikon D610 and several lenses. The lens I use the most is the Nikkor 50mm 1.8, followed by the Nikkor 85mm 1.8 and the Youngnuo 35mm 2.0. I like fixed lenses but for concert photography, I use the Tamron 70-300mm 4-5.6.
I mostly rely on Lightroom and rarely use Photoshop. Natural light is always always my light of choice, even to make polaroids trendy, and I don’t do a lot of post-processing. So I just use Lightroom daily.
